Dr. Aparna G. Patil A resident of Kolhapur, Maharashtra, Dr. Aparna Patil has a doctorate in the discipline of Humanities. Also qualified as NET and SET, with a Master’s degree in Commerce and in Management, she belongs to the rare category, where one’s profession encapsulates one’s passion. Dr. Aparna Patil is passionate about teaching and she has been active in the field of education for more than two decades. She has held important teaching positions in various colleges and institutions in Pune and Kolhapur. She is currently involved in coaching various students in the field of Commerce and Management through her own private academy. Her social bent of mind motivated her to start a social foundation, named ‘Reflections Foundation’, which is devoted towards the development of youth and womenin rural areas. An only women’s library, ‘Shrimati Chandraprabha Shankarrao Patil Mahila Vachnalay’ in her native village Vadange, is one of the pivotal works of Reflections Foundation which is geared towards this objective. Writing, she says, was once a secretly pursued hobby, which was brought to light through the inspiration of her parents and her twelve year old niece, Disha. She has authored three books; two fiction and one nonfiction.
